Course Overview

This one-day introductory course in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), developed by Dr Marion Gluck, provides a unique opportunity to understand the critical role hormones play in women’s health. Specifically, the course explores how to treat and manage common hormone-related conditions such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), perimenopause, and menopause using bioidentical hormones.

Moreover, participants learn the foundational principles of the proven Marion Gluck Method, gaining practical knowledge to deliver personalised, patient-centred care. In addition, the course provides ongoing post-course support, so that clinicians receive expert guidance on patient case studies and can apply BHRT with confidence.

Furthermore, the course emphasises integrating scientific evidence with practical application, therefore enabling clinicians to make informed decisions for their patients. As a result, participants leave the course equipped to deliver safe and effective hormone treatments.

Learning outcomes:

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Understand Hormones and Their Role

  • Explain the functions and benefits of progesterone, oestrogen, testosterone, DHEA, and vitamin D.

  • Distinguish between bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and conventional HRT.

  • Describe the menstrual cycle and steroid hormone pathways.

Additionally, participants learn how these hormones interact, which helps guide clinical decision-making.

Assess and Treat Common Conditions

  • Read and interpret hormone profiles to support diagnosis.

  • Diagnose and treat PMS, perimenopause, and menopause using bioidentical hormones.

  • Incorporate BHRT protocols into existing clinical practice safely and effectively.

Additionally, participants will gain confidence in applying their knowledge while understanding the limits of this introductory course, ensuring they refer patients appropriately when necessary.

Communicate Effectively with Patients

  • Engage patients in discussions about hormone treatments. For example, explain the benefits and risks of BHRT clearly.

  • Follow ethical and legal guidelines in patient care.

Consequently, participants can educate patients effectively while maintaining professional standards.

Note: this course will equip you with protocols to treat the common conditions outlined, using the hormones listed. Subject to your background and expertise, it is recommended not to treat patients outside of the scope of the course and refer as appropriate.
